As you slowly take in your surroundings, you vaguely note that you ended up in some kind of apartment on the 3rd floor.

The room you were in was covered in gray ash and debris. A massive hole in the ceiling above, revealed Blinchyk's apartment. Several walls in it have crumbled, showing parts of the road outside.

Down on the street level, the five figures scanned the surrounding area and zeroed in on Blinchyks apartment.

One of the figures took a position in front of the buildings main entrance.

Another one looked at Arnold and casually discharged a ballistic blade into the mans leg. The blade punched right through the Dermal Plating with a loud clank, piercing the leg vertically, just below the knee and slightly exiting on the other side.

Arnold fell to his knees, the blade firmly stuck in his leg.

The cloaked figures seemingly loosing interesting in him, returned to stare back at the building.

Three of the figures jumped off the ground, leaving small cracks in the asphalt, as their bodies were propelled several meters into the air.
The next second, the three loudly landed inside the ruined apartment on the third floor, among the disoriented and injured.

The cloaked figures carefully scanned each face, standing eerily still, until one of them suddenly reached under a piece of concrete and pulled out Maddie by the throat, from under the rubble.

Madelyn stiffly stared back at him and feebly tried to latch onto his arm, but her efforts to break free didn't bring any result.

As the figure tightened his grip on Madelyn's neck, the other two circled around. One of them pulled out a small microchip from under his sleeve and attempted to insert it into the back of Madelyn's head.

Madelyn began kicking and screaming something. Her empty eyes staring at her adversaries.

Her yelling did not reach you. A deafening silence still covered you like a blanket, as the events unfolded in front of you.

Rain grits her teeth and rises to her feet, she takes one step, then another... That walk breaks into a run as she sprints head first into the figure with the chip, whiping her armor buster into its hip, "I WILL NOT FAIL!" she shreeks looking to throw off its balance and pierce its body, adrenaline suddenly pumping through her now as she made her charge. As she looked to thr bot she had death in her eyes, "I'll die before I fail!." she growls bringing her fist back up and aims for the head for her next strike bringing it down.

(Serena)
"Fuck it" Serena states then charges into assist Rain. All she can hear is her own heart slamming inside her skull. The edges of her vision red as her body screams at her to stop moving. Snapping the internal blade into exitance with flick of her arm Serena strikes forward. Aiming at the mouth of one of them. Her goal is to pierce it's "spinal chord" with her blade severing it. Hoping that the inside of the robot's mouth lacked the same armor the outside probably had.

As Rain ran into one of the figures, her blade went deep into the enemy's hip. As if in slow motion, both tumbled to the ground. The chip fell out of the figures hand and briefly flew in front of you, before clanking onto the ground.
It was a Neurochip.

When Rain prepared to strike the figures head, however, the robot's torso turned, its red eyes zeroing in on her.
The robot suddenly grabbed both of her hands by the wrists, and clutched them with a death grip. Unbearable pain gripped you, as the robots metalic hands squeezed your wrists, so hard, it felt like they were about to break.

The next second, the robot violently smashed its forehead into Rain's nose, as both still laid on the ground.

Blood began running out of Rains nose. A wave of tears appeared in her eyes, provoked by a reflex, and began severely obscuring her vision.

The robot grabbed onto her wrists tighter and pressed his foot into her stomach. It looks like its preparing to throw Rain over itself and out of the nearby window.

As Serena lunged with her sword, the robots metal teeth shattered and flew in every direction, as her blade pierced the robots skull and came out on the other side of its head.

At the same second, Serena's body seized up, as a massive electric shock washed over her.

Lowering your sight, you noticed the robot had struck her in the stomach with a Shock Hand, about at the same time as she pierced its skull.

The robot shivered, its eyes went dark and it fell down in a heap, together with Serena, as her muscles seized up.

The last remaining robot in the room clenched its fists and two concealed blades extended out of its arms.

It began slowly approaching Serena. Judging by its body language, its seems the robot intends to slowly execute everyone in the room, one by one.

The blanket of silence began slowly fading away. Replaced by a piercing ringing in your ears, then by distant and muffled noises, sounding as if they were coming from a hundred miles away.

Madelyn, who had briefly fallen to the floor, now stood up and attempted to grab a hold of something on her back.
Before she could do it however, the 2 robots who until now remained on the street level below, had now jumped into the apartment and grabbed Madelyn by her elbows, attempting to prevent her movements.

Rain fights it gritting her teeth, she shifts her weight fighting hard against the mechanical force bringing her wrist to an angle the adreniline through her body just barely dulling the pain as she does her best to get an aim at the hunk of metal, she activates the armor buster prematurely hoping it would hit its skull dead on, "I will break you!" she growls through gritted teeth her farel instincts taking over, "I will not... Be beaten... By a FUCKING trash compactor!"

(Arnold)

When the blade hits his leg, it collapses with a loud groan. He grit his teeth, from both the pain and the helplessness. He wanted to help, but he knew he couldn't get there by himself.

"Blast! I need help to save her! I need to get this blade out!"

Angelo looked up at him. "Hey, toss your weapon." He spoke with a serious tone.

Arnold looked at him, and understood him. He took his trusted axe, and reared it for a throw. He threw it, but from a crouching position, it was a weak attack. Until it gained a soft glow, and a massive boost in speed, as it struck the robot heading to Serena. Then, it returned to Arnolds hand, who caught it.

"Justice strikes! Thank you, stranger!"

Angelo got up himself. "No time to waste here! We got a fight on our hands, with a massive disatvantage!"

(Oboro)

With her blurred senses, the fight was over in a flash for her. But when the new situation was clear, she got up a little. Then, she flew forward. She knew she only had one shot. And it would likely backfire. But she had no choice. She threw a punch, with the armor buster. Praying it would hit it's arms, and rend them asunder.

Kaylee Brown wrote:"The Union?" Blinchyk asked, scratching the side of his head: "I.. guess the world would be easier to control, if it was unified, sure"

"You cannot be serious!" Mira exclaimed, scowling at Blinchyk: "This is what I'm talking about! If we continue this line of thinking, there will be no end to the conspiracy theories! Are we to assume that every major historic event, was orchestrated by the Digital Waltz?"
She fell heavily into her chair, exhaling in frustration: "...this is madness"

The chopper's sound became extremely loud, almost deafening. It sounded like it was hovering just over the building.

Madelyn's eyes slightly widened and zeroed in on the window.

Down on the first floor, in the lobby, a lone phone cubicle stood, some five meters inside the main hallway.
Tomas slowly entered the building as well, but stayed by the front door and kept watching the outside.

As the sound of the helicopter became deafeningly loud, Tomas' eyes widened in fear.

"GET DOWN!" You heard his frantic shriek in the earpiece.

The silhouette of the helicopter briefly loomed in your vision. Its massive carcass appeared in front of the window to Blinchyks apartment, some 15 meters away from the building.

As you saw a missile discharge from its fuselage and dart towards Blinchyks apartment, Madelyn jumped off her seat and fired a balistic blade at the missile.

Everything happened in under a second, but it felt like an eternity.

As if in slow motion, you saw Maddies blade, strike the missiles wing, diverting its course by a few inches. The next second, the missile flew into an adjacent apartment and everything turned white.

You went deaf, as an invisible force violently smashed you into the far wall. A massive explosion appeared in your eyes. Fire and debris flew everywhere, as walls crumbled and part of the ceiling collapsed.

As massive cloud of dust and ash, mixing with fire, completely obscured your vision.

You broke into an uncontrollable coughing fit, unable to understand where you are and what's happening around you.

The ringing in your ears was unbearable. Your entire body ached and smoke filled your lungs.

You slowly realize you're laying on the floor, in some unknown apartment. The floor must have gave in, making you fall into the apartment below.
You were half covered in small debris and broken furniture. Your clothes covered in a thick layer of gray ash.

It was painful to move. Each tiny motion brought about a wave of pain. Your hearing did not return.
All sound has faded from the world and as you tried to survey your surroundings, you saw Blinchyks pale face, laying in front of you.

He was dead. His unblinking eyes were staring right at you, a large piece of debris stuck in his chest.

As you attempt to move and climb out of the rubble, you continue to hear nothing, as a massive combat helicopter broke away from the building and flew out of sight.

And moments later, five silhouettes drop onto the street, leaving cracks in the asphalt. Their figures cloaked, their eyes burning red. Their stiff movements broadcasted more than anything, that they were robots.

The five figures slowly rose and began marching towards the main building entrance, where Tomas and the Hooded Figure laid on the floor, untouched by the explosion, but stunned and deafened by the shock wave.

The Hooded Figure plays dead while they get their wits about them.

Rains blade extended out of her sleeve, with frightening speed. Its sharp edge pierced the robots left eye, breaking it into a dozen small
shards. The robot didn't loosen its grip however, its right eye staring daggers at Rain.
Its body suddenly jerked backward. Releasing Rain and pushing her back with both legs, the robot slided a few inches away on the floor,
then rolled backwards and jumped back on its feet.

A panel opened up on its right hand and a razor sharp whip unfolded out of it, falling down to the floor. The robot brought his hand backwards
and prepared to take a swing at Rain, the whip dangerously dragging the ground, leaving sharp cuts on the floor.

The second robot continued to advance on Serena, its blades dangerously rising, preparing to strike. Then it suddenly jerked forward and staggered,
falling down on its knees, as Arnolds axe struck it hard over the spine.

Small pieces of metal fell on the floor and multiple sparks came out of its back, as the robot stuttered and attempted to get back to its feet.

The next second, Oboro's sweeping strike hit both of its arms, making the robot crumble to the ground. Its arms were visibly bent at the elbows
and the armor plating there was cracked. It visibly took damage but it was hard to tell how much it would affect its functionality.

Laying on the floor, the robot looked at Oboro. And a blinding flash of light suddenly projected out of its eyes.

A screen of white appeared in Oboro's vision, making her go briefly blind. A telltale sign of a Flash Bulb upgrade in action.

The robot began rising from the ground again, its arms jerking and shaking slightly, the blades dangerously dancing in the air.
It ducked and charged at Oboro, aiming to strike her stomach, while she was still blind.

Your hearing slowly returned to you, as the battle went on. You heard Madelyn's enraged, frantic screaming, as two of the robots held her in place.
One of them truck her hard, in between her shoulder blades. An electric shock discharged from the robots arm and coursed through Madelyn's body,
paralyzing her and making her fall to the ground.

One of the robots pinned her to the ground, pressing his knee into her back, then pulled out another Neurochip and prepared to insert it into her head.

Tomas suddenly appeared in the doorway. His face pale and haunted, his concealed blade already extended out of his arm.

He looked at the two robots next to Madelyn and charged at them, sprinting as fast as his legs could carry him.

One of the robots continued to try and insert the Neurochip into Madelyn's head.
The other robot jerked forward and intercepted Tomas in his path, the two smashed their blades together and entered a scuffle, their blades
loudly clashing together, sending small sparks in every direction.

(Serena)
An involuntary scream escapes Serena's mouth as her body was engulfed in electricity. Her vision going completely white for a moment, then dark as the combined pain from her previous attack and the electricity knock her out. Raspy breaths escape the unconscious mare as blood trickles from her nose.

(Radiance)
The momentary, though, uncomfortable moment of laying there in complete silence had given Radiance a moment to collect his thoughts. As his ears twitched at the sound of Tomas and one of the Rumba's entering combat Radiance jumped to his feet.

With a single stroke of his wings, Radiance closes the distance to the Rumba on top of Madelyn. He attempts to grab the neurochip from its hand and crush it.

Rain suddenly does a quick turn, and pulls her bow from her back, and a handfull of arrows. Without even an ounce hesitation she sends an arrow right into the nurochip the next arrow comes not even a second after aimed at their heads with full weight of her bow her gaze was steel as she focuses, all her movents happening in a span of barely 5 seconds. Two more are released before she quickly turns sending an arrow into the other eye of the bot opposing her and another one right into its socket.

Rain closes her fist activating the breaker and holding it to block the whip.

"MY EYES!" Oboro exclaimed as she was blinded. She reached to her eyes, and covered them. This made her completely unaware of the incoming attack.

Arnold reached out, still pinned down by the blade. He then shouted "MOVE THEM!"

Amgelo nodded, and ran. First, he charged some magic at his feet, and propelled forward, pulling Oboro out of the way of the slash. After he landed, he headed to Madelyn and the main event, weapon drawn and ready.

After the landing, Oboro groaned. "Well, fantastic..."

Reaching out, Radiance snatches the chip out of the robots hand. The cold eyes of the machine looked up at the pegasus,
before a blade suddenly extended out of its arm, aimed square at Radiance's heart.

A split second, before the blade pierced his chest, the robot was violently kicked back, as the Hooded Figure slammed into it at full speed.

If not for the Hooded Figures fast action, you have a strong feeling that Radiance would have been impaled through the heart.

The Neurochip looked small and fragile, but proved to be sturdy enough to withstand the force of a pressing fist. It seems more force would
be required to destroy it. Looking at it, you have a strong feeling that planting your heel on it, would do the trick.

Before you had a chance to do it however, an arrow flew into the Neurochip, chipping off a large piece of its structure and knocking it out
of Radiance's hand, the arrowhead leaving several shallow cuts on his fingers.

Madelyn started to stir on the floor. Her limbs didn't obey her and she desperately stared at the battle around her, visibly wanting to join
you and help. As the dark crystal materialized in her Neurochip port, her eyes briefly winded, the crystal startling her.
She shook her head, trying to focus and slowly got up into a crouching position. The effects of the electric shock still affecting her movements.

Her eyes briefly scanned the battlefield and she noticed something. In fear, she tried to shout something to Angelo, as he approached her,
but no sound came out, her body still seizeing up after the shock.

The Hooded Figure and the robot he kicked, landed a few meters away from Radiance. The robot used the momentum to roll backwards and come into a low defensive position, before taking a quick swing at the Hooded Figure, attempting to horizontally slice his neck with the blade.

Immediately after the swing, an arrow had flown towards the robots head, loudly bouncing off its armored skull. The impact making the robots
head swing to the side and making its whole body jerk and loose balance.

Rains vision was still largely obscured by the tears, that still continued to reflexively come out, after her nose was struck.
The Skillwire system attempting to compensate as best it could, using the vague glimpses of silhouettes to plan the trajectory of her arrows
on a subconscious level.

As she targeted the robot with the monofilament whip, one of the arrows missed its target, bouncing off the robots armored cheek.

The second arrow flew right into its broken left socket, embedding itself deep inside the robots skull.

The robot seized up, its movements becoming rigid and stiff. It roughly hurled its hand forward, the monofilament whip wrapping itself over
Rains sword.
The robot attempted to pull his hand back, trying to drag Rain with her blade, closer to him. But his movements were very sluggish and slow.
Large sparks began to come out of its skull and the robot began slightly shaking.

Oboro, who was left alone and blind, heard the heavy footsteps of the third robot approaching her.
After Angelo had moved her, the machine relentlessly continued its pursuit, and its heavy footsteps now rappidly closed in on Oboro.

The machines arms were visibly damaged, but still moved to some degree. The robot sprinted at Oboro and readied both blades for a strike.
Oboro could only hear a mass of metal, heavily stomping towards her, the razor sharp blades audibly slicing the air, as the machine closed in,
preparing to strike.

Tomas tried to jerk in her direction, but the robot he was fighting didn't let him move an inch in her direction. The fourth machine
heavily pounding him with one blade strike, after another. Tomas was visibly at his limit, just barely managing to block and deflect
the relentless and lightning fast attacks of his opponent.
The robot seemingly knew that Tomas wanted to help Oboro, and didn't give him an opportunity, pounding Tomas with its blade, with extremely rapid, heavy strikes.
Their blades clashing in the air with deafening impacts, sending sparks flying across the room.

Violet had barely woken up, her vison blurry as she halfheartedly takes aim at the head of Tomas's assailent. She grips the handle tight as she closes one eye, "G-Get... Fucked..." she wavers slightly before squeezing the trigger.

Rain charges forward at an alarming pace, she stops about 5 feet away and aims the armor buster at the rumbas head before activating it, "Two more to go..."

As Rain closed distance and lunged with her weapon, her blade loudly pierced the robots skull, sending dozens of sparks spraying the wall behind him.

As the robots body seized up, Rain noticed that the robot had activated a concealed blade of its own, around the same time as you, but his lunge must have missed, as his blade was now frozen in place, inches away from your ribs.

Earlier damage to his system, must have interfered with his aim. The machine jerked slightly and crumbled to the ground, a massive hole in his metal skull.

Violets weapon fired with a deafening sound.

(Rolled 15)

The bullet hit the second robot square in the eye, shattering it into a million glass pieces and making the robots head wildly swing to the side.
For a second, the robot remained staggered and stiff. For one second too long.

Tomas immediately lunged forward with his sword, following Serena's example, he ran it into the machine's mouth. The robot seized up and as small circuits exploded inside its head, the robot fell on the floor in a heap.

"OBORO FLY UP!" Tomas immediately barked, sprinting at a maddening speed towards Oboro and the robot that was about to attack her.

When she heard the shout, she wasted no time and went up quickly. She then spoke in her ear. "Arnold, help me out and I'll help you. Be my eyes!"

Arnold nodded. "Roger my friend! Fly 15 meter to the right, and go 2 down. I'll latch on!"

Oboro immediately began moving fluidly, as if this was studied in. Arnold go off the ground a bit, and grabbed Oboro, being carried into the air. They adjusted to eachother, and then hung there.

Arnold spoke. "To Madelyn! Drop me there and take her up. Then, keep flying left, to the lab.

Oboro turned to him, seeing him vaugely. "You mean, abandoning you all here? I can't do that!"

"You must, though. Whatever was spoken in there, it must've warned them enough to send a hit. Madelyn is chased, right? It's something all parties want, locked inside her. We must know what that is, that information is more important then our individual lives! Now do it!"

The blue mare hesitated, but flew slowly there.

Angelo got there sooner, and seeing the neurochip fly, he jumped on top of it, slamming on it with the hilt of his weapon. "Okay, that's one..."

G-God... It hurts..." she studders she groans tp herself, her chest was in agony and her hands shook in pain, each breath brought sharp stabbing agony through her chest.

Rain sighs in relief as she watches the first and second rumbas fall, she was still somewhat healthy she clears her eyes , "Tomas isn't killing these things your job!" she glares at him, "Come on." she pulls him up, "You are specially trained for this now prove it." she sighs as she steels herself for the attack. Her ears perk, "I hope you dont just plan on leaving us here to die!" she barely glances up at the three.

Stopped at a hotel with good wifi. But its located next to a forest, I literally hear wolves howling, halp!

(Everyone)

The forcefield loudly hummed, as the sword bounced off of it. The robots head swung upwards, as the Hooded Figure punched him in the jaw.

The robots back arced and it staggered backwards, trying to regain its focus.

The second robot briefly stopped, watching Oboros escape, then it turned back, scanning the battlefield for new targets.
Its hands were visibly cracked and bent out of shape. They didn't move as fast or as precise, as before.

The robot only managed to emmit an angry roar, before Tomas slammed into him at full speed, knocking the robots hands to the side and embedding his blade deep into the robots skull.

As the machine crumbled, Tomas turned back and shouted over the racket:

"Help us defeat the last machine quickly, then we'll go to Zarovee's together! If you split up into a small group and get ambushed, we may not reach you in time!"

Madelyn managed to pick herself off the floor and took Oboro's hand, using it for support. She seems unsteady on her feet, looking around with hazed eyes.

Oboro's vision finally started to clear. First, only black spots filled her eyes, then silhouettes began to appear and take shape.

She could see Mira, laying in the rubble, a few meters away. She was feebly moving her arms, visibly shell shocked and trying to sit up on the floor. A few lines of blood ran down her forehead and cheek.

"Please, We Musn't Leave. Yet" Madelyn stiffly called, looking at those around her:
"Our, colleagues and Friends. I cannot bare, them dying, Because of, Me"
Her empty eyes briefly catching a shadow of sadness, before returning to an emotionless stare.

The Hooded Figure pulls up a forcefield around one of their arms and slams it into the robots' chest to push them backwards and restrain their limbs, whilst throwing the palm of their other hand into the robots' face and firing clusters of electrically-insulating crystal through each of its' eye sockets to take out its' eyes and hopefully scramble some circuits inside.
